Eufy's new indoor PTZ security cam does HomeKit, color night vision
After years of giving the cold shoulder to Apple's HomeKit platform, Anker's Eufy has surprisingly announced its second new HomeKit security camera in just a few months. On sale now for 69.99, the Eufy Indoor Cam E30 is an indoor camera with a motorized lens that pans, tilts, and zooms around the room, and it works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. The Indoor Cam E30 follows Eufy's first HomeKit camera in a few years, the S3 Pro Outdoor Cam, which made its debut back in September. The new Indoor Cam E30 is essentially a revamp of an older PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera, the Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt from 2020. While the older indoor cam was restricted to 2K video resolution, the just-announced Indoor Cam E30 ups the ante to 4K, marking a significant jump in video quality.

Abode's new wireless doorbell is full of value, with a few caveats
Installing the Abode Wireless Video Doorbell is relatively simple, both when it comes to physically installing the device, and setting it up in the app. Physically, you'll simply screw in a base-plate, then push the doorbell into the plate to attach it. The doorbell comes with two base-plates, one of which is angled. To set the doorbell up in the Abode app, you'll open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to turn the doorbell on and connect the included chime to your Wi-Fi network. It's straightforward, and I experienced no problems while installing the device.

Best cheap security camera
Smart home technology has made home security systems cheaper than ever. And while you can still pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a comprehensive system covering the interior and exterior of your property, it's possible to pick up an internet-connected, high definition security camera for significantly less. While many readers will be aware of smart security cameras from Nest, Ring and Arlo, these generally carry three-figure price tags. For this article, we're focusing on security cameras that cost significantly less, and which are closer to the $50 level. This means they don't necessarily have the same intelligence as more expensive options, but they still get the job done, and provide your smart home with an extra level of security.
Wyze Cam v3 review: Wyze adds color night vision and IP65-level protection to its $20 security camera
Since introducing its paradigm-shifting home security camera a few years ago, Wyze has steadily improved its flagship product, even adding an outdoor version, while keeping its insanely low $20 price tag. Now it has effectively combined the best of those two cameras into the Wyze Cam v3, its first indoor/outdoor camera (it's rated IP65, meaning it's dustproof and protected from water jets that might come from a nozzle attached to garden hose. You can read more about IP codes here.) At first glance, it looks like little has changed from one version to the next, but the camera has received a modest makeover. This third iteration is still a roughly 2 x 2 x 2-inch cube, but its corners have been rounded off and its black face is now a square instead of a circle.
EZVIZ C3X outdoor camera review: Great camera, buggy cloud subscription
EZVIZ has consistently delivered home security cameras with tried-and-true features and seamless performance. Their latest, the C3X outdoor camera, is notable for a couple of reasons: It includes color night vision, still a relative novelty for consumer cameras, and it's the first EZVIZ camera that I've experienced a fairly significant issue during testing--a complete inability to access motion-triggered video stored in the cloud via the company's subscription storage plan. The C3X looks similar to the model C3WN we reviewed previously, a tennis-ball sized unit with dual antennas. It can be angled on its supporting arm, which is attached to a metal mounting plate. A 15-inch tail is hardwired to the back of the mount and splits into a power jack and an ethernet connector in case you'd prefer to use a wired connection to your router rather than Wi-Fi (but there is no support for power over ethernet).

Arlo Ultra review: This very expensive security camera delivers super-sharp 4k video
After producing a string of successful security cameras--including some of our top picks--Netgear spun Arlo Technologies off as an independent, publicly traded company in 2018. The company pulled the high-res security camera from Best Buy shelves for a time and delayed its general release after a series of firmware updates failed to resolve a raft of customer complaints. Based on my time with the Arlo Ultra, it would seem that Arlo has resolved the most commonly registered problems: inconsistent wireless connectivity, short battery life, and an inability to stream 4K video. None of those issues surfaced while I was evaluating the camera. As such, the Arlo Ultra is another strong security camera from a brand that has topped itself with each new product introduction.
